University of Reading Green Leaders Scholarship 2025

The University of Reading Global Sustainability Leaders Scholarship program also called the Green Leaders Scholarship is being offered to encourage and assist the upcoming generation of leaders in sustainability.

In this scheme, 400 talented students from countries around the world will get financial and professional development support while undertaking bachelors degree program at the University of Reading, UK. The scholarship which is worth £34 million in total will be awarded each year, and the first year of the program will see an award of 300 scholarships.

The aim of the Global Sustainability Leaders Scholarship is to provide funding and other opportunities to high-achieving students passionate about tackling climate change and environmental challenges.

University of Reading is a globally renowned institution based in Reading, Berkshire, England. This highly ranked university was founded in 1892 as University College, Reading, a University of Oxford extension college. Reading comprises of more than 50 research centres focusing in areas such as agriculture, meteorology, European history and culture.

Tuition Fees

To study at the University of Reading as an international student, bear in mind that the cost of tuition fees for an undergraduate degree is higher than what citizens usually pay. On the average, the tuition fees for domestic students at the University of Reading is typically between £9,250 to £9,535 for an academic year.

Eligibility Criteria

• Applicant must have an offer for an undergraduate programme at the University of Reading
• Candidate must be classified as fee-paying student.
• Applicants must achieve grades AAA at A-level (or equivalent).
• Candidate must prove English language proficiency

The University of Reading Global Sustainability Leaders Scholarship selects candidates based on their academic achievement – they must meet the grade requirements. It is also expected that they demonstrate commitment to sustainability through the scholarship application process.

Scholarship Benefits

University of Reading Global Sustainability Leaders scholarship has a total of 400 available scholarships to be offered annually. However, the first 300 scholarships will be approved in the first year of the undergraduate program.

An annual maintenance stipend of £6,000 will be given to recipients each year, making it a total of £24,000 for the four-year course. They will also have access to networking with industry experts. The scholarship is valid for the duration of the undergraduate programme.
