University of Oregon International Cultural Service Program (ICSP) is a partially funded program which is designed to support international students in exchange for cultural service to OU, academic colleges, and the host communities.

It is offered annually and available to undergraduate and masters studies at the University of Oregon in the United States. The aim of the ICSP program is to increase cultural awareness and understanding throughout the local region and the state of Oregon.

International Cultural Service Program (ICSP) Scholarships began operations at OSU in 1983, and it specifically targets foreign nationals who demonstrate financial need, however, exceptional merit may apply.

University of Oregon founded in 1868 is a public research university. The institution which is located in in Eugene, Oregon, USA is home to nine colleges that offers more than 420 undergraduate and graduate degree programs.

Eligibility Criteria

To be eligible for the scholarship, applicants;

  • Must be international students, OR
  • U.S permanent residents
  • Must already be admitted to a bachelors or masters programme at University of Oregon.
  • Must demonstrate financial need
  • Must have the minimum 3.5 cumulative GPA.

Selection Process

University of Oregon ICSP Scholarships 2025/2026

Candidates will be selected for the Oregon State University ICSP Scholarships if they have been able to demonstrate financial need and have experience participating in cultural activities. The selection will also be based on academic records, performance and presentation skills as well as communication skills.

Benefits of Scholarship

This is a partial scholarship that will be awarded to recipients as tuition fee waiver. The scholarship value ranges from $9,000 t0 $35,000 per year and the amount awarded will remain consistent each term.

10 to 20 Scholarships are available to be awarded to students in need, provided they agree to complete 80 hours per year of cultural service as required by the program. Cultural service can include speaking or giving demonstrations to schools or community groups about the heritage and culture of your country or participating in international events on campus.

Application Procedure

  • First step is to secure offer letter from University of Oregon
  • An invitation to enter the OSU Scholarship dashboard will be forwarded to your email.
  • This is usually within a week of submitting your application for admissions.
  • Log in with your student ID and fill out application form
