University of Montreal Scholarships 2025

University of Montreal Scholarships provide undergraduate and postgraduate support to international students from countries all over the world who wish to study in Canada. The scholarship at Montréal University is valued at $27,300 per year and they are offered as tuition fee exemption for masters, as well as PhD studies.
The goal of this program is to help the best talent from all countries attend one of the finest francophone research universities in the world. In turn, these international students will help fulfil the institution’s educational mission by enriching the community’s cultural diversity.

Tuition Fees
On the average, international students looking to obtain bachelor’s master’s or doctorate degrees from the University of Montreal are required to pay within a specific range. Students pay tuition fees of about CAD $20,000 for undergraduate programs. For graduate studies, international students are charged around CAD $24,000.
Eligibility Criteria

- Open to all international students (except French and French-speaking Belgian students).
- Candidate must have received an offer of admission at Montreal
- Applicant should not be enrolled in an independent study program or short undergraduate program
- Applicant should have valid study authorizations (CAQ and study permit)
- Applicant should not previously or currently benefit from another form of tuition fee exemption
Scholarship Benefits
Masters
Candidates selected for the Masters scholarship will receive a partial exemption valued at $9,420 per year or $3,140 per session. The amount of the scholarship is to be applied to tuition fees of $27,300 per academic year.
PhD
PhD candidates will receive complete waiver of the additional tuition fees normally charged to international students is available. This exemption bursary allows recipients to benefit from the same tuition fees as Québec graduate studies students. The scholarship is awarded in the value of $19,339 per year or $6,546 per session.
