University of Manitoba established in 1877, is a public university situated in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada. It is the first university of Western Canada. University of Manitoba is one of the country’s top research universities and a proud member of the U15.

The University of Manitoba Scholarship for the fresh academic year is a program which offers fully funded financial aid to international students seeking to enroll in the Canadian university’s Robot Autonomy Lab (RAL) postgraduate program.

RAL is searching for talented individuals to undertake PhD and MSc in robotics, machine learning, and autonomous systems with full financial support. The scholarship is fully funded and covers tuition as well as living stipends.

Tuition Fees

Here is an overview of the tuition fees for undergraduate and graduate programs at the University of Manitoba.

Undergraduate: The tuition fees that snternational students pay for bachelors degree programs at the university is around CAD$20,800 per year.

Graduate: Students at graduate level pay varying tuition fees. In the case of MBA, the tuition rate for international students is fixed at CAD$765 per credit.

Eligibility Criteria

  • Applicant must have a degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Automation or related fields.
  • Applicant must demonstrate passion for robotics, machine learning, and control systems research.
  • Candidate must demonstrate proficiency in programming (e.g., Python, C++) with experience in ROS and Linux preferred.
  • Candidate must possess strong communication skills in English.
