Universities In Israel That Offer Scholarships for International Students

When students are thinking of obtaining degrees abroad, one of their major concern is going to a country where the universities are of global quality. This is something that can be found in Israel’s higher education as the institutions are renowned for their academic excellence especially in the area of IT and technology. Though the primary language of communication in Israel is Hebrew, many institutions offer programs in English, thereby providing a unique learning environment designed for international students.
The Israeli government funds about 70 percent of the public universities, hence only 20 percent of their funding is dependent on tuition fees, which makes the costs considerably low. However, tuition fees and policy for public universities are different from private ones which are far more expensive as they are largely dependent on students’ tuition. In a bid to make top notch education easily accessible, a good number of the universities offer scholarships to students who are citizens of countries that have cultural agreements with Israel.
Scholarships and grants are mostly awarded after the candidate has been accepted to an Israeli University. The eligibility criteria may change from time to time and they differ for each university.
Israeli scholarships typically come in two types:
For Summer language courses
