Newcastle University is offering the Developing Talent and Leadership Scholarship at its Business School for the new academic cycle and applications are now open. The Developing Talent and Leadership Scholarship is designed to provide financial support to candidates from countries around the world that have been offered full-time admission to the MBA program at Newcastle University Business School.

Interested applicants will be selected to participate in the scholarship scheme based on their demonstration of exceptional leadership potential, customer-focused mindset, and results-oriented attitudes.

This public higher institution traces its roots to the formation of School of Medicine and Surgery (now College of Medicine) in 1834, and to the 1871-founded College of Physical Science (now Armstrong College).

Tuition Fees

The tuition fees that international students pay for studies at Newcastle University depends on their program of choice. However, on the average, the cost falls within the range of $34,650 and $46,560 per academic year.

Eligibility Criteria

To be eligible, applicant must:

  • Hold a conditional or unconditional offer of admission to the Full-time MBA program
  • Be assessed as international fee-paying student and domiciled in one of the eligible countries.
  • Have at least 3 years of substantive managerial experience.
  • Hold the equivalent of a UK 2:1 honours degree or demonstrate relevant work experience with significant career progression
  • Demonstrate strong leadership potential and managerial experience through application and interview.
  • Have an English language qualification of IELTS 6.5 or its equivalent with no subskill below 6.0 (if English is not the applicant’s first language).

Selection Process

The Newcastle University Developing Talent and Leadership Scholarship will select candidates based on:

  • Academic qualifications and career progression.
  • Managerial experience and leadership potential.
  • Performance during the interview across all competency areas.

Scholarship Benefits

Successful candidates of the scholarship scheme should expect to be awarded financial aid worth up to £16,300. This amount is to be used for coverage of tuition fees for the Full-time MBA program.
