Erasmus Trustfonds Scholarship 2025

Erasmus Trustfonds was founded to support research and education projects, organised by the Erasmus University Rotterdam (EUR) in the Netherlands specifically. The aim of the program is to contribute to the growth and flourishing of Erasmus University, Netherlands.
Founded in 1913, Erasmus University Rotterdam is a public research university in Rotterdam, Netherlands. It is named after Desiderius Erasmus Roterodamus, a 15th-century humanist and theologian.
The Erasmus Trustfonds Scholarship is designed for students from outside the European Economic Area (EEA) who want to do undertake their Master’s degree program in the Netherlands. It is financed by the Dutch Ministry of Education, Culture and Science and Dutch research universities and universities of applied sciences.
The Erasmus Trustfonds Scholarship is a fully funded opportunity that covers tuition, and provides a living allowance to cover housing, and statutory fees.
Tuition Fees
International students in the Netherlands pay tuition fees determined by their nationality, the institution to which they applied, and their field of study. However, on average, tuition fees for Bachelor’s programs are between €9,000 and €20,000, and for master’s programs, they are between €12,000 and €30,000. Private universities charge higher tuition fees than public universities.
Eligibility Criteria

Candidates are eligible, if they;
- Plan to start a master programme at Erasmus University Rotterdam;
- Considered to be a high achieving student;
- Are unable to finance your study yourself.

Scholarship Benefits
Recipients of the Erasmus Trustfond Scholarship will be awarded fully funded aid covering tuition fee of (€2,530 for EU students, and €16,900 for non-EEA/EU students). €17,500 will be provided for housing, living costs and statutory fee. The scholarship will be granted for one academic year, and will be renewed upon satisfactory performance.

- Complete and submit applications attached with required documents;
- CV (in PDF format)
- Motivation letter (max. 1 A4, in PDF format)
- Academic transcripts (In case you have not completed your Bachelor yet the average grade of the current year until the date of application applies)
- Financial statement. This will describe your financial situation and how you plan to finance your studies in case you will receive the Erasmus Trustfonds Scholarship.
