Erasmus Mundus IMAPP Scholarship 2025

The Erasmus Mundus program was established by the European Union, EU in 1987 with the aim of promoting closer cooperation between universities in European nations. Through the years, the program expanded in reach, and with a broadened framework, it became known as “Erasmus+.”

One of the funding programs under it, the Erasmus Mundus IMAPP Scholarship, offers financial support to students from countries around the world who wish to pursue Master’s degree in Advanced Methods in Particle Physics (IMAPP). The scholarship is available at universities in France, Germany, and Italy, gaining expertise in particle physics while experiencing diverse European cultures.

This fully funded IMAPP scholarship covers tuition fees, living expenses as well as travel costs for the successful candidates for the duration of the program. Applications are now open and qualified candidates are welcome to apply.

Tuition Fees in Europe

If you are an international student (non-European Union/European Economic Area) undertaking an academic program at a public university in Europe, the tuition fees you will pay typically ranges from 727 euros to 7,500 euros per semester. This is greatly dependent on the course of study. However, international students studying at private universities would pay higher amounts around 6,000 to 15,000 euros per academic year.

Eligibility Criteria

• Scholarship is open to students from all nationalities.
• Applicant must be Bachelor’s degree holder in a relevant field.
• Final-year undergraduate students can apply, provided they submit their Bachelor’s certificate before enrollment.
• Non-native English speakers must demonstrate English proficiency.
• Acceptable test scores include, TOEFL, IELTS.
• An online interview may be arranged for those without test results.

Scholarship Benefits

Erasmus Mundus IMAPP Scholarship is fully funded and provides recipients with full coverage for tuition fees for the entire duration of the program. A generous monthly allowance will be allocated to beneficiaries to cover living expenses. The scholarship includes coverage for travel costs to and between the host universities, assistance with housing costs, health coverage and reimbursement for visa application fees.
