Erasmus Mundus Imaging Scholarship 2025/2026

The Erasmus Mundus Imaging Scholarship is one of the programmes funded by the European Union under the Erasmus+ scheme, designed for international students interested in securing Masters degrees in Europe.

Erasmus Mundus Joint Masters, EMJM Programme in Imaging is your passport to mastering visual media processing with machine learning and deep learning. Graduates of the program have become go-to experts in visual signal processing, contributing to industries like healthcare, education, defense, entertainment, gaming, and technology consultancy.

The programme is fully funded, which means it will contribute to participation costs, medical insurance, travel and installation. Additionally, beneficiaries will be given monthly living allowance. Imagine scholarship is available to be awarded at three universities in Sweden, Italy and Finland, namely;

  1. Mid Sweden University, Sweden
  2. Politecnico Milano, Italy
  3. Tampere University, Finland

Tuition Fees in Europe

Erasmus Mundus Imaging Scholarship 2025/2026

Foreign students (non-EU/EEA) who are studying at public universities in Europe, typically pay tuition fee ranging from 727 euros to 7,500 euros per semester. For international students pursuing studies at private universities, the fee is generally around 6,000 to 15,000 Euros per academic year for a Bachelor’s degree and 3,000 to 23,000 euros for a Master’s degree.

Eligibility Criteria

To be eligible, applicant must;

  • Demonstrate English Language proficiency
  • Have a bachelor’s degree in information and communication technologies, computer or electrical engineering, or in a related field with;
  • At least 30 ECTS in Mathematics/Applied Mathematics, including courses in probability theory and statistics and linear algebra, and
  • 60 ECTS in Computer Engineering including a course in object-oriented programming.

Scholarship Benefits

The Erasmus Mundus Imaging Scholarship 2025 offers around 15 scholarships per year. The scholarship will contribute to participations costs, medical insurance, a monthly living allowance, and a contribution to travel and installation.

Beneficiaries will also be provided with € 1,400 for living allowance per month, up to a maximum of 24 months. Additionaly, EMJM in Imaging programme will accept students with or without scholarships

  • Commence scholarship application together with your program application in the portal.
  • Students will then be notified via email of their scholarship application results (along with their EMJM in Imaging application results).
  • Also gather and submit the following documents;
    • Up-to-date curriculum vitae (2 pages max) – PDF
    • Letter of motivation – PDF
    • Copy of passport (preferred) or ID – PDF
    • One recommendation letter – PDF
    • Documentation of English language proficiency – PDF
    • Diplomas in the original language and translation of your diplomas in English – PDF
    • Please provide first university degree and others – do not send secondary school / high-school diploma.
    • Transcripts in original language and translation of transcripts in English – PDF

  • For each criterion, a numerical grade is given.

The final grade (out of 100) is calculated as a weighted sum of the grades for each criterion. The students are ranked according to the final grade.
